Your group of explorers has travelled far to reach this temple, former home to the forgotten Azmalani, daughter of Azshara. You have learned that she had a small sect of followers who hid, protected and worshipped her even after her mother betrayed their race. Her current status is unknown and the temple seems to be in great disrepair. You spot a hole in the side of the temple and wiggle your way in. What lies beyond? Be careful! This map is not for the wimpy! You must stick together, work as a team and play your best if you're going to win. Find a couple friends and dig in until you can win the map (and the extra difficulty modes!) (Download and thread name updated 6/3/08 for new version! Invade is the new version, Explore is the old version) (Update 2 available on 7/21/10) Last edited by CastleOrange : 07-21-2010 at 09:08 AM. Reason: New version! |

Probably the best "exploration" map out there. Wish we had more like it. Only concern is the timesink nature of the map, hard to finnish it before life calls.

Thanks for the feedback. :)
There are two keys... one in the library and one in the northern tree-garden. You have to bring the key to the area of the door. If you click on a key it tells you where it needs to go. |

Something seems to have changed in the way destructibles are removed... I've actually had this map "complete" for a few months now but I never got around to releasing it... apparently something in WC3 has changed to make my method of clearing destructibles no longer work.

Perhaps make them units, unselectable, no movemeny, invulnerable, etc... and just kill em.

I found this map good, but a little basic.
__________________The heroes seem a little too basic, having most spells that are just edited (if even edited) versions of normal spells. With those spells you run trough killing creeps over and over again. It kinda bored me :/ Don't know what you can do about it tho... it's just the genre.. Doesnt yet get my approval |

Did you play it single player? It really comes to life multiplayer... It's really not interesting if you have full control of everyone and can just focus fire on enemies with a click (this was Dungeon Siege's problem). It's a (4) map because you want lots of people for a multiplayer dynamic. Playing an MMO solo would be similarly tedious.
Except for fixing this game-stopping bug (and any other big bugs), I'm not really going to be working on it any further, so any judgement you've got now is basically all there's going to be, except for trying it multiplayer. Last edited by CastleOrange : 02-05-2006 at 12:49 AM. |

This is my favorite map ever. I love the way everything is explained through tooltips on the items and the way the characters say stuff depending on who's in the game. I managed to beat it in singleplayer, and even then, I found it very fun. One thing though, when I got the Ranger's (I forget the exact name) regen upgrade, I was basicly invinsible, it seemed to go at least 100hp/s, how high is it exactly?

I guess that's my mistake for not testing after the newer patches. :) I played this map about four hundred times while I was actively developing it but I never guessed that the game would change this much underneath me. :) I don't know if a field changed or what... but the Earthtalker's upgrade was set to increase his regeneration by 100x!
