Frozen Orb + LightningElemental (Update 3)

Frozen Orb My attempt at reproducing that diablo 2 spell

Lightning Elemental Completelly custom summoned unit, involves a model, the summon ability is JASS enhanced and also has a version of phoenix fire that uses lightning effects and casts purge

Update
- Various optimizations to Frozen Orb thanks to CSCache 13.6 , it is really fast now. It actually uses a 0.035 seconds timer instead of a 0.05 one and it is stil much faster than the previous version

Im guessin the ice bolts do minor damage compared to the main frost orb?

wow fex, good job, may i give one suggestion however. On diablo, the actual orb its self was slow in movement and didnt go that far from teh caster, so maybe shorten the lenght and speed is all i can say, but it works realy well, intresting indeed!

I fixed 2 serious bugs with frozen orb. One made its missiles stop sometimes and the other one made frozen orb leak like hell.

An update is recommended.

As a matter of fact yes tiki you should.

Troll_Vooodooz:
- Make sure you have The Frozen Throne
- Make sure you have latest patch or at least patch 1.18
- Open the map in WE and do test map.

lol vex, i think what he meant was he cant change the code or understand it cause it is too complex(what he meant by play with)

i know i know.. this topic is kind of old.. but i really need help...

The first time I use the Frozen Orb on my map.. it does this :

But the second time I use it.. it works perfectly..

Any suggestions

Does it only happen in your map? If you test the map available here it happens as well? . And there are no rules against thread revival in gallery, resources nor tutorials sections

How do I import ONLY the lightning elemental model in my map?
I tried it multiple times but everytime I import it it shows the green box...

fIrst export the model to your hard drive then just import it to your map, if you are having problems there better check our tutorial section for model importing tutorials, fortunally you don't need any custom skin for it
