  • That no more than 10% of the Texture may be a Copy/Paste from another source. 90% (the majority) must be drawn/colored/smudged :P by hand.

**For me, specifically, I will probably have a hard time "balance-testing" me and AnemicRoyalty's hero submission, due to him being on vacation :P. (NOTE: not whining).
So Dusk, may I pick another user, unaffiliated with the contest (not on a team), to play some melee maps with, for the purposes of "beta-testing" the hero?

Would an ability like Crypt Lord's Locust swarm, which causes him to use an alternate set of animations, but doesn't really change him all that much, count as an alternate form or not (vis-a-vis the art categories)?

No, it wouldn't. Things like defend or the flapping crypt lord wings are really just animations, they aren't fully different models.

Yes, that would be fine and one of your art types would then be special effects. It's okay in the case of lightning effects to add yours since this is set to be in a melee game so overwriting an old one isn't an option.

I'm trying to ease the testing job of the player. However, after typing in the keyword to first create the hero for testing, I can't decide which is more helpful:

A: having that specific hero Revive every time it dies automatically, or
B: typing in the keyword again and again Creates a new hero, and Removes the one before it.

Typing more is more work for the user, so if you had to pick between them I'd say B. Ultimately, a difference as slight as you've got between A and B will not matter, though.

Huh? Number [b] is the one that requires more typing. *scratches head*.

The only problem I saw with "insta-Reviving", is that it makes "melee testing" a bit less realistic (normally, one's heroes do not revive Instantly over and over)
