WHAT'S THIS ?

This is a warcraft III map optimize tool.

It can make your wc3 map faster and smaller in only 10 seconds !

In Chinese mainland, Chinese Taiwan, HongKong, nearly all of the most popular wc3 maps use this program to optimize, so do some Korean maps, in fact. so it's very reliable.

It's from the most popular warcraft III forum (bbs.uuu9.com) in asia. the program url below :

Zoom (requires log in)

WHAT CAN IT DO ?

(1) convert your map to SLK table and TXT files formation, accelerate map loading.
(2) support convert map, which's abilities or upgrades over 4 level (will be reserved in war3map.w3a).
(3) can maximum compress your map file.
(4) can clean no-used data.
(5) can optimize war3map.j file and war3map.wts file.
(6) can compress MDX and BLP files.
(7) support any language Map!
(8) support drag and drop.
(9) DONOT forget, all that only needs 10 seconds!


WHAT'S THE FUNCTIONS ?

(1)Serach Used Object:
this can helps you reserve Objects which used but nerver modified in your map.

(2)Reserve objects:
it actually named "Reserve Random Objects". If used random function to create objects, but those objects nerver modified.

(3)Re-build & Compress:
this will rebuild your map with high-compression. this can auto select a best block size. but, you need a whole (listfile).

(4)Encrypt Hash Table:
this will encrypt hash table of your map. Encrypted map couldn't opened by some mpq program, such as WinMPQ, MPQMaster.

(5)Remove Editor-only files & Reserve (listfile):
this will delete editor-only files. such as:
war3map.wtg
war3map.w3c
war3map.w3s
war3map.w3r
(listfile)
(attributes)
war3mapUnits.doo
war3map.imp
war3map.wct

NOTICE: If you want to use another optimizer such as wc3mapoptimizer to optimize your map, please select "Reserve (listfile)".

(6)Optimize war3map.wts:
this will convert the Triger Strings as much as possible.

(7)Optimize war3map.j:
this will remove no-used spaces and comments.

(8)Compress MDX files:
this will compress mdx files.
It removes decimal part of the coordinate, can get a better compression ratio.

(9)Zip BLP
this will remove unnecessary mipmap pics and unnecessary BLP header info.
mip1: Remove low-quality texture mipmap pics
mip2: Reserve low-quality texture mipmap pics (Recommended)
mip16:Do not remove mipmap pics

(10)Drag and Drop
you can drag and drop W3M,W3X,MDX,BLP file(s) to this program to optimize(W3M,W3X) or compress(MDX,BLP).



ATTENTION

Sorry, I have no English edition Warcraft III,
so For the first time, Please use "Extract Local Warcraft III Data Files" to Extract English edition Warcraft III's Data files.



Two ways to use vex's and Wc3SLKOpt both:
1.Use vex's first, but Disable "Remove Editor-only Files" , and then use Wc3SLKOpt.
2.Use Wc3SLKOpt first, but Disable "Remove Editor-only Files" , and then use vex's.


NOTICE: If it crashes on Vista, Disable "Multi-Core CPU" ! will be fine.

* Fixed a bug which cause Wc3SLKOpt crash when more than 1024bytes per line in war3map.j
* Intergrated DataGet.exe and main program together.
* No longer optimize some special abilities, such as Command aura etc.

The whole 10 seconds stuff sounds a little crazy, I mean, of the 3 hours+ it takes to make a map, the time finalizing it takes is almost nothing, try comparing it to shadow generation...

Anyway, somebody with a windows setup should pass an anti virus on it. Since it is one of the preconditions for approval, will try testing it later, else I hope some mod does.

The widgetizer was all able to do this but it stopped doing so in a new version, because SLKs get bugged after 4 levels.

umm i tested this on a map that was protected by Vexorians WC3 Op,and i was able to open the map in Warcraft 3 World editor after i used this program on it so......


oh and 4 does not come after 5

Scan came up empty.

There really is no point in having more than 4 levels per spell. And if there is, it is usually to do in a heavy triggered map, so having multiple spells is no big issue.

The fact that the program is an "all-in-one" but doesn't have any files promoting it or explaining about exactly what the program does, makes me kind of sceptical.

fast optimization, it makes optimizeation before testing map possible .

It's better than the widgetizer in the sense it can do the process much faster, it is actually better than blizzard's object data loader, cause if blizzard's loader used the same method we wouldn't need widgetizing/this... I guess if you had like 100 objects in your map running this tool before testmap would actually save you time, but if you don't need that the widgetizer is probably fine for your needs. Regarding the optimizer, it equals it in some ways, but its script optimization almost does nothing, will remove whitespace. When it says 'will make your map faster' it just means will make it load faster. It also has this cryptic MDX-opt option, which probably does something.

u9shasure: You need documentation, you also need to improve the English text. I recommend you not to include ANY data, will make the download much smaller, even if you included the English data, what would happen with those using Frech wc3? It is better to just merge Wc3SLKOpt.exe and GetData.exe so that the data part was just specifying war3's path...

But you really need documentation instead of just marketing lines. For example what does "opt MDX-files" do? Does it place all triangles together? Does it do what that MDX compressor tool I don't remember does to improve compression? How about "MPQ Encrypt" ? That's another thing I hace no idea what it would do. In fact I don't think anyone would be able to use this tool in its current state without prior knowledge of the widgetizer.

Oh, and you really need to investigate about the 4 level stuff.

I will complete the documentation of this program.
My English text is actually too bad, so I posted only few lines.

In fact, Using this program to optimize your map and then using Wc3 map optimizer 4.7b, will get a charming effect.
