Sorry for being a total "newbie" right now, but I really don't know what the problem is with this. I've already tried reading the readme files, no help there. I am currently using Firefox, if that matters.

When downloading this file with 7zip, all goes fine until when inside the 7zip file manager, I attempt to open the exe file (WXJWTSOPT.exe). What happens is an error that says:

"VXJWTSOPT.exe - Unable to Locate Component.
This application has failed to start because SFmpq.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

Unfortunately, reinstalling DID NOT fix anything. Also, the SFmpq.dlll file is right there, so I have no idea why it can't run properly. I cannot open the .dlll file as well.

Thanks in advance for the help.

P.S Is there any way to release downloads in the usual .rar or .zip files?

Ever heard of "extract the package before executing applications"?

Hey Vex,

This image is causing the optimizer to screw the map. It can't be played once optimized, while it can be easily played while not optimized. When I remove the image, it all works out good.

Problem is, this image is very basic, converted from a 1024x768 pixel JPG image to a TGA 128x128 image.

I've got a problem with it.

Always i want to optimize a map, he makes a .j file, too.
And I cant host the map like that, because the .j file isnt inside.

Opened with MPQMaster it shows only the (attributes) and (listfile).
Even with MPQ scans i couldnt find more datas.

Its not my map, i just want to host it and a 3,52 MB big map, with DSL 1000.....
Not very well...

You kind of rushed to conclussions as to why you can't host.

It is a bug, ...yadda yadda yadda..., can't guess what went wrong if you don't send me your original map...

Ok, here is the map.

Edit: all right, I removed your map, next time use email, I guess you may not really want to have the map source public, right?

edit2 (this time by me ;) ): As said above its not my map, i downloaded it in the battle.net, but its just too big...

Vex, do you have an idea why such an ordinary image would corrupt the map once it is optimized? I mean, why should it "affect" .tga images that way?

It could be that the map is already optimized, double optimize breaks maps.

CUz people want less space for map. Maybe if there was that blplatter function (compress futher) was in this, maybe it would be better. A further compression sounds nice =)

Hey Vexorian, it seems like your optimizer is malfunction something in my map. It is a tag like map (Vampirism typo) and I use a global integer to count the number of humans player in the game. When it reaches 0 they lose...

Now my problem is, that after optimization (and I tested it carefully to be sure it is because of it) something doesn't seem to work correctly anymore. Because when I debug message this count integer, it always displays 0 instead of the number it is supposeded to. And this is only after optimization. Hence this makes my map kinda useless, though it probably wouldn't be that hard to find a way around it I preferred to bug report it here, since I guess you wanna find those issues.

And I really don't wanna miss the features of your Optimizer which are really great ("locking" the map, reduce load speed a lot as well as map size.....).

In case that you give me your mail address I can send the unprotected map if you want. Help is really much appreciated^^

make sure you aren't using constant variables in an odd way.

Nah... I did nothing weird with the variable. It was a integer variable I declared through the normal variable editor btw. However I managed to fix the problem through deleting and then recreating the variable as it seems... at least I hope so >_<
I've still no clue what was the matter before... perhaps a really rare bug somewhere.

well... i have a rare problem...

if i choose "compress names" my map starts but it does not creat the unit that you need to choose the heroes (i have a hero choosing system based on circles of power) so... no matter wich mode you choose the little seagul (divine spirit) wont appear ... if you need the map tell me and ill send you

no matter wich options i choose appart from this one.. the one that buggs the game is compress names

EDIT: i use 4.5

My bet: you got constant handles.

I think it is enough already, going to make jasshelper popup errors if you declare constants of handle types.
