![]() Alright, so I thought it might be cool if I gave the public the opportunity to design their own settlement.
I will approve/reject your layouts as I please. And make a final poll with the 3 best results. Then implement the *winner* layout choosen by public poll in LoC, give credits and X amount of reputation to the creator. If you can create a better layout than this guy tried to, it would be much appreciated :) NOTICE - Keep in mind, it must be a balanced map :) Your layout must include the following: Gate(s) Walls Locations of Buildings (e.g. Guard Towers, Farms, Barracks, Siege Workshop, Stables, & Archery Range) Gatehouse (if there's more than one gate) Your layout may include the following: Forest Water/Moat Bridge Mountains Submission Entries: Last edited by Archian : 08-25-2008 at 06:31 AM. |

does this mean that all these buildings must be placed, or only a few of them? Last edited by snowtiger : 08-23-2008 at 12:39 PM. |

![]() Ok, first try. (I admit i'm not that good at terraining :D)
![]() Ofcourse the walls have to be replaced by whatever you use for walls :P. Last edited by snowtiger : 08-23-2008 at 04:27 PM. |

![]() Hmm, you use too much space and it's, well sorry to say; little too simple.
And much of it looks like as if it was randomly placed. I'm not going to use this exact layout. But you did give me an idea that I might take a shoot at. Thanks for trying, though :) You can have another go if you wish. |

I know I'm not good at terraining :P. It was just an idea popping in my mind (the village being protected from 1 side by a mountain) and I thought; Meh, why wouldn't I give it a try :P |

![]() Can we go ahead, and make an orc encampment, for example? Doesn't have to be human?
EDIT. Ok, here's my first try. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Andriejj : 08-23-2008 at 10:45 PM. |

Not all races in LoC are humans, but they aren't orcs either :O As for your screenshots. It's a good start :) perhaps a little too magical, though. There's much space that goes to waste as well. |

![]() I like what Andriejj done. All execpt the size of the corner areas. If it was possible to make the diagonal walls shorter for a more tighter/defensible room then I wouldn't say anything.

![]() Archian, I were wondering if you could make some template, with the tileset you use in LoC and a set of doodads you wish to use in it. That would make things a lot easier.
And thanks for the comments :) |
