Very fun map, nice job timmay. Negative points would be a good thing to add. A strategy that I used was when I had low health I would go and commit suicide so noone could kill me than I could comeback with full health and resume attacking people.

Remember I helped test it too!

Yes it is, Percent Awesomeness is the only way to fly. Usually it should rest at 100%, but meh, you can't win 'em all:). Probably cause Tim. decided to use upkeeps to display some messages.(that bastard ruined my awesome Percent Awesomeness text)


Anyway, on to my thoughts. (and yes, you had all best listen to them)

- The idea of a special icon on the map representing other ships would be pro, do it, and do it now!
- It would be really really nice to have some piraty taunts(I know I said this already, but thats because it would rock out loud)
- A cool piraty styled cursor would be cool, but since the texture is large, may not be doable
- Maybe you could have a light version, and a high materials version for those of us who don't mind the download


Anyway, thats about all I can see, don't have any real ideas atm. Either way, great map, loads of fun and I hope to soon see some of these Wc3c noubs ingame so I can send their sorry hides down to the depths.

Like whoever said the ship icon, I am pretty sure under game interface you can import a custom hero glow and maybe that would make a custom ship icon?
I love the minimap it's so sexy.

Awesome map, though I only tested it in singleplayer.

A few suggestions...

- Replace the black fog with blue fog that fits the sea.
- Make it more epic-ish and less cute-ish, could be a combination of sounds, camera view and custom models, or just one of the three.
- for some reason there were no tooltips ffor the abilities, so I had no idea what the last two abilities did.
- add taunt sounds.

I find it slightly annoying that that people can set teams before the game starts, it doesn't actually effect much of the gameplay seeing as they still take damage from your cannons and all that, flaming ship won't damage your "allies", though.

I've tested your map in single player mode (problems with the net, sorry)

In general, a good map, a rare concept IMO. I have one suggestion, use the keyboard to control ship movement, it will make the control more confortable.

In truth, it was controlled via the arrow keys just before release here. I changed it because there was about a 300% increase in response time. To make a long story short, the arrow keys lag by nature - it's in their programming. Abilities do not. I understand ASD feels less fluent, but would you rather be blown out of the water thanks to severe key lag?

Lol thats really funny.
I tested it and I thought it was very unique and fun, but the other players didn't. I heard one say "remind me to never play this ever again" and just flat out "this fucking sucks". I think it's fun and great, but apparently they don't :/.

Idea that sounds incredibly f***ing hard:
Make it so you can go into a side-third person view and it shows the captain, and the captain can shoot a shoulder fired cannon right there. Sounds lame I know but it might make people a little more "into the game" (yeah I know a lot about that with my Day of Defeat map "GO GO GO LETS MOVE!!" and "YES SIR!!!") and make it more interesting.

Ahhh... I understand your point. I remembered the game about the mortal sheeps that comes with RoC and yes, the control of the paladin has a slow reaction (Warcraft engine wasn't designed for that kind of input). As soon as I have net, I'll test it with someone, I hope with you :)
