of course it isn't working.

those gg_units are assigned in a function, much after the globals declarations.

so if you do constant unit u=gg_unit_blabla you would likely just make it null.

"constant units" don't sound right to me.

Like I said, it's not my map. I was working on a demo of something in a completely new map and it caused the problem as well. Tried to use any other maps and nothing worked.

Well the only problem I've heard of with GC is if you get up to something like 255 GC which I'm not. I only have one.

You need to get 255 GC on other maps (and it is not actually 255 but an smaller number, odd?) you map may just need one gamecache it still breaks, in fact sometimes one gamecache requires more than one slot...

Vex I don't think you quite understand. This happens with any map. I can be working on a demo map and it can randomly stop working (Has happened). I can be looking at someone else's map and if it uses GC it will randomly stop working (Has happened). I can be working on my actual project and it will randomly stop working. The map does not matter.

You know of the bug where you save into a new map and the map isn't hostable on bnet? it writes actual library lines in the j file, try it out. only after a couple of re-saves, it gets fixed.

A bug(?) report:
when running jasshelper.exe separately, it claims it cannot find bin/SFmpq.dll
If you move sfmpq from jasshelpers dir to jasshelper/bin it works, but NewGen Worldeditor.exe refuses to run.
So, you need sfmpq.dll at NewGen pack/jasshelper/ and NewGen pack/jasshelper/bin/

the first thing you have to run is the "newgen world editor.exe" it will copy sfmpq.dll to the correct locations.

I've been using NewGen for a few months now, so apparently it does not.
Maybe worth noting that I dont run newgen we with administrator privileges and edited findpath.lua to make it run.

It would be very odd that running jasshelper from the save command doesn't make it show the error if there is no sfmpq.dll in its folder

I seem to be having a problem with the new newgen pack. I just updated to the newgen pack and it only seems to work some of the time. I load up NewGen WorldEditor.exe and it just loads up like it is reg editor. The only thing that is different about clicking the newgen or the reg we in my warcraft III folder is that I installed SFlips syntax highlighter and it only works when I use the NewGen WorldEditor.exe and not the other. So something is different there.

*edit* forgot to add that it works about 1/12th of the time as normal as it should. but when I close and reopen it once again does not work, only the syntax highlighter. but I don't think its just cause of random chance.

I hope someone can help me get this new version working. and if anyone knows where I can get an old version of this too it would be nice cause this isn't working for me.
