![]() Well, jasscraft is C# by the way, looking at the theme it uses (can't understand this in any other way)
EDIT: Sorry read now... Are you sure that is in Delphi? (Nice GUI through delphi O_O) However, showing parameters is something NECESSARY I think... Take the case: I stopped using jass for long time, then I come back and I forgot function parameters (this is quite normal after a year for example)... Now I will be very slow for a long time because I have to rememorize everything Also, it helps you because store also parameters of YOUR function, and it also show a snippet on how you coded that... I repeat, jasscraft could be really better if it gets updated... I was thinking about writing something with QT Libraries: they are c++ libraries, works on mac/win/linux (read about them) and have a class called SyntaxHighlighting which in a few lines has extraordinary results... really The license is: 1500$ for selling program, otherwise you can use GPL License (which is free), and because they are created in C++ are really fast and nice to use... I'll think about them, but it's a big project :P Last edited by Fire-Dragon-DoL : 11-11-2009 at 10:02 PM. |

![]() would you like to add "auto correct" or "Intellisense"? That sounds wonderful and powerful!

![]() and useless.
__________________Well, maybe other people would agree with you, but JassCraft is not getting updated. My tip would be to pick a editor that supports custom languages and add Jass to it, manually. Because I am not aware of an active project of a full-featured Jass editor. |

![]() It's just that sometimes you don't want to wait several minutes for the WE and any JNGP plugins you use to load before you can start writing your code. Then, "compiling" vJass to Jass via JNGP means saving your map, which depending on what other resources you're using can be slow. And JassCraft is simply a prettier editor.
__________________Then there's the issue that JNGP requires a Windows OS (which not everyone uses). Importing a custom war3map.j and/or blizzard.j is just easier for some people (I personally use JNGP, but more because of laziness/forgetfulness -- that is, I often need to look up unit rawcodes for the constants I define, so I might as well have the editor open anyway). Basically the WE is very feature-heavy, and it is convenient to have something like JassCraft or Notepad++ when you need something lighter. @sikele2236: lolwut Last edited by cosmicat : 02-09-2011 at 06:00 PM. |
