That's so uberly not true. The mesh itself without any bone works fine. There's no reason at all to make bones for static meshes.

Aside from that crazy bug where the geometry goes walkabout with surrounding units when it's not got a bone?

Happens when vertices either aren't assigned to a group or a group is assigned to something that's not a bone. It's very distressing. Anyway, the moral of the story is that you need at least one bone in any Warcraft model.

I think you made a good choice when doing so, as you then avoid using a custom skin (which filesize might surpass the filesize of the model).

Yeah, I know. I could have used less polygons with the human farm textures, for example, but the walls would look very blurred when scaled up, and I wanted to keep a clean look on the whole model. Also, I have chose to use one-sided materials to keep the correct shading, and that forced me to clone the walls. I'm still bothered about the polycount, but that's the best I can do.

Tim, can you be more specific?

Well, at the moment the roof seems to be a small sized texture that has been stretched over the entire roof. A way to increase detail would be to tile the roof texture, or make a larger and more detailed roof texture.

Yep, give it a shot and attach pictures of the two variations (current and new) from a top-down view.

Same as your other model, please make the fix I mentioned within 48 hours or this goes to the graveyard.
