Hi everybody, I doubt there are many people here who remember who I am (or shall I say who I was).
I was an active map maker here back in 2001-2004. I gave up mapmaking on Warcraft III a while back, and ,never returned for real life reasons.
Having a bit more free time these days, I heard about Warcraft III reforged, and although it didn't seem overwhelmingly amazing, it woke up some nostalgia in my older "procesing unit" :)
I actualy pre-ordered reforged but can't even log into battlenet for some weird temporarily restriction on my access.
I Hope it will be resolved with the release of reforged.
In the meantime, i played some TD's I have found around, and even found my latest project here and played it.
It was called Cube Defense Balls Edition, a sequel from a map I made previously to honor the original Cube Defense (that I called New Edition).
I actualy had a lot of fun playing that good old map of mine, and haven't yet found any other TD with similar innovations in spite of the 16 years that have passed.

As the visuals were an important part of this project, I feel really tempted to go back and start learning again all that I have forgotten after all these years, and try to remake the map for Reforged.

For the first step, I would really appreciate some kind of easy help.

Let me explain : when I stopped modding, my map was nearly done, all that remained was a few desync issues and the victory/defeat getting stuck for some reason, requiring F10 to leave the game.

Besides that the map and it's unique features work like a treat :

-upgradable hero builder (flying as a dragon on last upgrade) with skills and free auto-blink
-scrolling text panel to inform players about the levels, made with custom alphabet model.
- 40 waves of monsters that are actual rainbow balls with flying balls every 5 waves and Boss ball every 8 waves.
- a complete range of unique upgradable towers (including the more common poison / freezing / burning / anti-air ones).
- a never seen before (unless someone did it again since) blocking tower with a "build wall of towers" skill that actualy does what it says and tremendously helps building a maze to guide the monsters (balls)
- ingame controls (weather, music, etc...) for the map host

The problem I have is I can only test this map on single local player (thankfuly it is now with the latest client 1.31+). So I have no means to see where the desync issues stand with the new version of the game.

With some feedback, I could start learning Jass2 and all the other tools, and fix the map at first (if problems are still there) and then balance it a bit more.
The next step will, of course, be a Reforged version.

Thats it guys, if any of you wants to tinker with a map like they have never seen before, I have added the latest version as an attatchment on this message.

Ok quick update, manaed to run the game on reloaded then i could list most of the ussues.
I realized I can virtualy do anything in the new World Editor, and this is amazing news.
I have started adapting the map, decided to call it Maze vs Balls TD Reforged, made much more ense.
by the way my new nickname for gaming is now Macadamia, like these amazing nuts, and has been this way for several years now, so thats the name I will use in the map when it will be updated.
