That happens because war3me reads mipmap after palette, which is predefined with 256 entries. So it renders image not from real beginning.

To make BLPs with fixed palette size (256 entries, 1024 bytes), uncheck "Compress palette" in "BLP options" window.

Besides, following files work properly in the editor and the game, so I think there's nothing to worry about.

New version
List of changes is small, but quite essential. By multiple requests, I finally added some kind of file browser for better navigation and made some upgrades to blp optimization. The option to keep directory structure is also implemented.

The tools seems very nice, but I noticed a very serious problem regarding mipmap creation of vertically stretched non-power-of-2 textures. Each mipmap level is just the square part of the texture with the whole rectangle filled by stretching the side to fit.

In more technical terms: It seems the coordinates for mipmapping are chosen along the horizontal length of the texture. If the height is greater, the coordinates are mapped from 0 to some coordinate greater than 1, where 1 matches the border of the upperleft square part. With clamping set to the edge, this would result in any part beyond the square part of the texture getting the same color as the (x, 1.0) line.

If you fix this, the tool really seems flawless.

New version with major updates!

Now support saving in BLP2 format. Extended DDS, PNG, TGA formats. Provides information and format options for almost all supported image files (except bmp). Also fixed bug mentioned above (it was found a half-year ago, but thanks anyway).

Full changelog is located in first post.
