No. In theory you could make the model in Blender and export to a format that can be read by other programs (such as .obj, but I think you'd need another file for the animations) to then export to .mdl/.mdx. By that stage though, it'd be easier to make the model in the second program to begin with. Gmax is also free and has many features in common with 3DS Max (but lacking some of the more modern conveniences). Milkshape is about twenty dollars and can handle most things necessary for WC3, but it's very clunky to use. If you're a student, Autodesk has free versions of 3DS Max, Maya and Mudbox available for download. You'll need a student email address, though. ![]() Meh, just thought it'd be nice. I got involved recently with a local "programming/graphic design" group, so I'm simultaneously (re)introducing myself to both through Python and Blender. If nothing else, it's good practice.

![]() Supposedly you'd "only" have to create a script to export to the .mdl format. If you're mad-keen and have a bazillion hours on your hands, you could always write a script to export from Blender similar to Dex or NeoDex. Hit up BlinkBoy, he might be kind enough to help out if you're interested.
