Yes, quite.

Furthermore, I was looking at this and the background feels kind of empty. I don't like the whole bright-white-light thing in the backdrop, doesn't feel like it fits the ambiance of the rest of the terrain at all.

Yeah, those light effects for the sake of having light effects don't fit in. There's an updated version on the hive with less random lightning that looks better though.

Actually, this would be very hard to make playable due to the gay pathing in wc3. You can't have 2 walkable floors with units under each other without a load of custom triggers.

one library with a ton of operations?

if no, how? pathing blockers (air AND ground levels, exclusively) and a trigger that toggles units between flying/ground (this solution be 'short' of answering the problem since it would work only in the case where number of levels is 2; plus, the entails of flying/ground interaction)?

athing is what makes something playable because pathing decides were a unit can walk and were he cannot walk. You can't have 2 units directly above each other without triggers. By using triggers, the original wc3 pathing would still interfear and it would screw up. Also, you would need a load of reigon's that show were the unit will be raised for higher levels and were are the boundries for the higher levels. If you think you can do it so easy, then prove me wrong.
