![]() Totally wrong start in my book. You didn't even finish the line art and you already started detailing. Illustration is an iterative process dude, you have to understand that. There are certain steps that you must follow in order to achieve a quality product. A lot of smarter people figured this out before us and it works.
__________________You must first block in everything you want in the piece, so you can adjust everything easily and make it as you want it. Don't jup right into detailing a certain part and then to another, because you'll end up with inconsistent results. WORK ZOOMED OUT! Use large brushes first. Focus on the WHOLE. Details and rendering are secondary things, your composition and shapes must read well. Last edited by TDR : 11-04-2008 at 08:24 PM. |

![]() What you say is completely ture. And I wouldn't suggest others to go like this.
However, I don't think I'll do a body for this guy. Just a portrait of sorts. So I started throwing in some color in this early state. I intend to crop it out at a later point. I thank you, for your feedback! He will bully your soul for all eternity! Last edited by Archian : 11-04-2008 at 08:39 PM. |
