I haven't found any answers to my question, but may I ask why it's called "DUSC" and what it stands for?

Dynamic Unit Skin Change =)

well after some tries to find a passable name i stoped at this one =)
Dynamic also may be replaced with Dron's so it keeps the sense.

seems to be useful for rpgs, where there is a generic model that gets 'customized' by the player

And I was thinking this was a system for Rising_DUSC (I thought "Man!!1 toadcop wrote wrong Dusk's name...") :P



In a serious note... Pretty nice stuff man, the outcome is very useful. One suggestion I have is to improve the skin selector, so you can accept the skin selected and play with the character (AKA "select" button) (please notice I haven't checked the code and I don't know how portable and/or configurable it is) But the skin selector is definitely another good contribution.

Yes, this is wonderful.. but your description was very complicated, I s'pose because English is a second language to you it came out like that. Anyhow, a great example of a use for this would be an rpg character model changes skins when equipping different armor!

How does this work?
I'm assuming it's a glitch that occurs with the fact that War Club makes the model steal it's texture off of the tree.
But... If it applies it to the entire model, then why doesn't the mountain giant get tree textures splashed across him?

Anyone care to explain how this system works?

It only replaces Replaceable texture 31 field. To make it work for the whole model, you've got to make all materials use replaceable texture 31, which gets affected when ability is used, resulting in texture stealing.
