This is a tag map that focuses on hiding instead of base buildings/massing towers etc.

It is essentially a free for all game where one person is randomly chosen to start off as the Demon, and may choose between 7 different heros, each with their own, hopefully unique abilities. The other players - Runners, must hide from him, usually within trees and other natural destructibles, which are randomly placed at the start of the game, and automatically generated every 3 seconds at the positions of these Runners.
Runners come in different types, though the only difference between these is the destructibles that they spawn.
When a runner is killed, it switches places with the killer, becoming a Demon and vice versa.
Runners gain a Point per second, and upon reaching 600, they win. However, if one is killed, each runner loses 10% of their points, the killing player gains 25% of the killed player's and the killed player loses an extra 60.
The Demons can also be killed, but this does not affect points.
Runners and Demons all have an ability called Help, which contains a number of helpful tips.
Thanks to Deolrin for a lot of testing help, the Demon descriptions, and for taking most of the screenshots.

To test in singleplayer, you must type -test after the 10 second wait at the start.

Pretty entertaining game... Although, it could use some more polishing. For example, you could let the players set the amount of points needed to win, and killing the demon SHOULD award points, as it is a very hard task for the runner(s).

Approved Map: Warlords[Quicksilver #2] - 1st Place

Disapproved

- The stun ability didn't work.
- The final fight out at the end between the runners was lame. Doubly so since one of the guys was apparently the last one standing, despite me still being alive.
- Balanced seemed really screwed in favour of the runners, even well outside a full house and with the stun ability broken.
- Really not that much going for it, and a lot against it.

Urrm, wow. Right. Where do I start with this one.

The terrain was rather bland and flat: nothing seemed to merge with each other that well. The game was never really explained properly (E.G 'why do we leave doodads, can the demon run through them?' came to my mind) and the hotkey for 'trap' didn't work. The spell in the cube had no affect on the demon, and messages endlessly repeated themselves.

Surprisingly, I don't think this should be accepted. I do, however, think you should use what WC3C has to offer and ask that your map's put into the development section so you can get the help you need.

Sorry for the short review, I just really don't know what to say about this map.

Keep working at it!

This map is just not ready for the approval process at all. I am going to shuffle it over the Maps and Campaigns for further development.

- Crap, did I leave that stun ability in there... Damn, it was supposed to have been removed, I must have forgotten.
- The final fight is just an optional extra...

I thought the doodad-leaving was pretty self-explanatory, big things stop peoples from going through them.

Anyway, to make the game easier on the Runners, I really would need some suggestions. I'm out of ideas and am not really working on this anymore anyway.

Updated it, though I doubt it would be enough for you to approve it.
Meh.

Well, it's not as easy as 1, 2, 3, I'm afraid. We do have high standards, but that doesn't mean that maps can't improve to reach them.

The final fight isn't exactly optional, as it must be played if the runners draw, and my runner was capable of running through his doodads, so it didn't really stop people. If it stopped the creature running through them, though, fair play. But still, don't leave things to 'common sense', explain it so that the dumbest and smartest man can understand it, alike. :)

Yes, doodads are there to stop demons, not runners.
