Two new paintings~

Hey guys. It's been a while since my last post... I haven't had much time for painting lately, until now. So, I completed two paintings in the past few days... and they were my first serious artworks since november or something.

Here's a samurai gal, done on request for Armel (still remember him? ^^)
About 10 hours with Photoshop 7. No refs!

And here's a wc3 fanart, at long last... a treant. Around 12 hours, PS7.

Cutting off parts you dont like doing will not make the go away or ever let you improve them.

Pretty damn nice. Allthough i dont like people dressed in bandages, even when they are nicely drawn.

The atmorsphere on the treant is verry nice, good color scheme and shadow hues. Please do tell me how you incporporated you textures?

Muo : yeah, I had to rehost the treant --imageshack.us seems to bug from time to time... thankies, you brain-eating zombie =)
Erwt : I used a couple textured brushes custom made from some photos of the foliage of the trees in my backyard, at various parameters of diffusion and variation. ;)

Heh, that doesnt even ring a bell. Painter or Photoshop? If photoshop, we need to get on msn and you need to explain these things to meh. (or make a tut lolol)

Hmm nice work!

I don't care for the ripped cloth all over the place. Besides that she is amazing.
As for the OMGSEXY treant, it makes me want to have sex with you.

strangely i get a MTG(magic the gathering) vibe from these paintings don't know why.

This guy is really great. I like his style, it reminds me of Aleksi Briclot. Now I wonder what this link is doing in my thread.

There is no point in drawing them if they serve no purpose in the drawing/painting.

Detailed feet would only distract from the sexy faces, and bodies.
