emjlr3 your hero is pretty cool in all, but.....
I waited 20 mins while playing superman returns demo, while your map was loaded. Then i used your first ablity on an albatross, then i used its ult and it crashed. I dont know if it was my comp or your spell but maybe u should do what i did and see if yours crashes too. The error it gave me wan invalid something(memory leak if i remmeber correctly).
Edit: Also do spells for the contest need to be able to be used by 12 players at same time?

At the moment I only have 3/4 abilities working (I'll finish the ultimate one tomorrow if I don't have problems)

Let me show you the abilities finished.

Brutal Beast Abilities:
Brutal Strike: Autocast
Mana Cost: 50

Creates a living wave which will persue a target ground unit. When this wave reach its victim, it deals damage and stuns the target Temporaly. If an enemy unit is in the wave way, it will get stunned for a short time.

Level 1 - 75 damage, 3 second stun.
Level 2 - 110 damage, 4 second stun.
Level 3 - 145 damage, 5 second stun.
Earth Burst: Active
Mana Cost: 80

Slams the ground with such force, that units in front of him will be affected by an unpredictable explotion under its feet, damaging and stunning them temporaly. All the enemies around him will stop casting any spell with the impact.

Level 1 - 200 damage maximum, 3 second stun, up to 5 units affected.
Level 2 - 285 damage maximum, 4 second stun, up to 10 units affected.
Level 3 - 370 damage maximum, 5 second stun, up to 15 units affected.
Frantic Attack: Passive
Mana Cost: 0

If its health reach a critical level, it will get an increased attack and movement speed every time it is attacked, reaching up to 86% attack speed and 50% movement speed bonus. Last 10 seconds.

Level 1 - Activates when it has 30% of its maximum hitpoints.
Level 2 - Activates when it has 40% of its maximum hitpoints.
Level 3 - Activates when it has 50% of its maximum hitpoints.

I hate coding for spell steal, it's unnecessarily retarded.

And I'm glad we're getting such show for the contest.
I was worried for awhile that there would be fewer than 3 entries.

And I can't wait to try all of these heroes.
When this is said and done, we should make a wc3c hero arena from them. :P

Well I'll be damned... my spells and, quite frankly, the general concept of my hero are starting to look shabbier and shabbier as new heroes are posted... Props to you though, Moyak, on an intriguing hero idea!

On a side note: Alevice, I was going to say it should be Martyrdom, but I wasn't sure if that was the word Daelin was looking for.

Not really, if it is efficient. There are ways to trick Spell Steal so that the detection acts correctly. And it is utterly necessary that you make buff spells compatible with Spell Steal especially if your spell is meant to work in a melee game (a.k.a tavern hero). So blame blizzard for actually making spell steal.

I realize the necessity of it, but I still hate it.
It usually adds hours to my coding time and then causes more problems than it solves.
And I blame Blizzard already for a lot of things, what's adding one more, eh?

I have a hero arena 97% finished. It just needs some translatores and some more heroes ;D. If you would accept all, I would put in all the heroes (whose skills fit in the system of my map), if you like and I get the permission of every one.

Rising_Dusk: Plx chnage the buttons art a lil' , it does not really fit to the spells. Else great work.

Dealin: I like yours very! It is so balanced and has some kind of unique style. I'll vote for you.

Hehe, it's actually pretty easy to do. My technique is pretty logical and though it messes up with some of Spell Steal stats, it works very well. You have to consider though from the beginning the way you want to design your spell if you plan to make it Spell Steal compatible. That's all! Elsewhere for certain abilities it may cause some problems. Maybe I should make a tutorial based on this problem.
