Tactics to use against AMAI?

I'm a pretty new Warcraft 3 player, but I can beat the normal computer AI easily on all three difficulties, so I decided to try out AMAI. Don't get me wrong, it's really awesome, but now the problem is that I can't beat the AI even on normal difficulty. I've tried on all the races w/ and w/out allies, but I keep getting rushed right at the beginning of the game. I'm more of a micromanaging first then build up huge army kind of person, but now I'm not able to do that because I keep getting the daylights beaten out of me during the first minutes of the game. Any ideas on what to do?

@Firehawk: Its intended for AMAI to play more human like and to hopefully be more difficult, you are just to used to the non human default computer. AMAI is in no way unbeatable and also has its flaws. Just keep practicing and your get there eventually.
