I haven't got any idea on how my buildings are gonna be built nor how resources are gonna be gathered.

The reason I used the name Chaos Guild, is because my race is kind of a mercenary race. Cause right now theres a Troll + Draenei unit and an Orc hero.

I might have to change Chaos to Merc but we will see what other 6-7 units I create. I'm keeping most of my stuff to myself till I get it up and running, it's just that much easier.

@Pyro: That resource gathering idea will be mean! But diminishing returns might not work well with upkeep IMO.

Eww, I'm not sure if my race is too weak :P
Basically, most/all of the Skeleton units are flimsy (very bad hit points and armour) but they make up for it in movespeed, attackspeed and occasionally range.
The Zombies however, have horrible attacks (5 second cooldown, large-ish damage) but are excellent meatshields, and I put their priority (for being attacked) higher than most other units: they simply, absorb hits.
Now, for an attack to work, you must always have Zombies and Skeletons, or else it will fail (unless you have ghosts (casters)).
Does anyone else think this is too weak?

I'm about 30% done with the units in my race. The concept is coming along well; I just wish buildings were more apropriate.

Seems like this contest is going to be quite a dance; I'm pulling all the stops.

Anyways; to keep the thread going I took a concept shot.

An explination of the units in the shot:

The little units by the trees are the gathering units, the big mound with the eggs in the middle is the Patriarch, the big tilted mound is a research building, apply named the Slethoid Mound =]. The thing I have selected is the gold mine for the Slethoid race. Any questions/comments?

At Anachron:
It looks pretty good, I like the style but, let me tell you this, your model import IS A BUILDING? You have like 3-4 portal models to use and you choose a MODEL IMPORT? I'd use the gate (now your shop) as an altar, and Outland's gate as the shop, period.

I knew your race was gonna be, to say the least, interesting... :P

I was wondering if there was any way to remove certain animations on a blizzard model.
i.e. For the Murloc Townhall, the Goblin Merchant model fits really well IMO, but when ever a unit is trained, the animation of a goblin runs out the building and in again. Is there any way to stop/ remove this?

Thanks! This contest is my first and looks fun!
As soon as I read that murlocs were no longer being done, I had to jump in and do it.
I don't have a vertex modifier, but are there any for macs? It's very hard to find model editors for my ol' mac...

The only person I know who would need to know is Tide (Arc Ephemera) cuz he uses mac too....
