You mean normal melee init = unmodified Initailization trigger, right?
To use this system properly you have to delete the whole init trigger. action:
Melee Game - Create Starting Units (for all players)
So, explaination: This system goes in conflict with that line, because that does start a reveal check that works only for normal races, and the system blocks it since the race has been registered.
Other than that, I can't find other things that can cause the issue you reported.
