People got bored and started editting the jokes (slightly)
Example:
When Vin Diesel has a shower, he doesn't get wet. The shower gets Vin Deiseled.
Man I'm starting to get sick of that particular one, but it's so random...

These jokes originated with Vin Diesel. It wasn't Chuck Norris.

This joke plays off the fact they used "Hybrids" as a placeholder for the Warcraft III race-selection screen 
I found it funny, even if Chuck Norris has been done to absolute death.

Though a more "serious" joke would have been more believable, that does mean that it should have been done. The team can't afford to lose more time on trivial stuff.
Chuck Norris, i think, is the guy who plays texas ranger and stars in some lame-*ss american action movies. He and Steven Seagal are really stupid with their strong-and-silent cliche. Not many people outside the US know about Chuck Norris, or care about his jokes, but many people outside the US care about PR and are registered in the forums.
