"i think they are frightened to show us the result of their work
gameplay video or something like this
they can only say: keep waiting or something like about mod problem
people its so difficult to understand that this mod only MOD, not a game, not a official patch, not SUPERFUCKING BIG MILLION DOOLAR
ok lets see, what is MOD?
mod = made by fans mini-addon to a game,
this ADDON is made for FANS, not for noobs, loosers, lamers and etc
so the auditory of mod will be fans
so fans is making this for fans and normal fan-developers will release alphas 0.1, betas, demos, techdemos, show lots of screenshoots, videos and etc for other fans like THEM
is it any difference with this little mod?
is it special in something or only for mormons and super millioners subscribers?
this mod is for peoples so it should be OPEN to us
about blizzard... they are not interesting in this idiot mod, they will never aswer you, you dont use their registered trademark "STARCRAFT", so you can kill yourself, release sources of YOUR mod and etc, for them this little addon for 4 years ago released game mean NOTHING
so you should finish this sucken politic of your mod, make normal SVN TRUNK, like this http://ufoai.sourceforge.net/ and you will have lots of new fans and they WILL HELP you to finish your mod
i think you should finally understand text above"

Actually Blizzard does care. We were in contact during BlizzCon and they specifically stated that Open Sourcing would result in a Cease and Desist. And no, why would we be afraid to show our work? That is the main point of this mod, is it not? An installer package delay does not mean we're hiding something.

Is this because they're worried that possible W3 code could leak in the process? Or more because the model work is so close to there original graphics images. I doubt its the later.
I don't think you guys would leak code or anything but it seems like a logical fear for a corporate entity to have.

It's not in our decision or opinions to why there is a CnD in the event of open source nor are we going to question it either. If you insist on bashing us on something we cannot and did not plan on doing, be my guest but nothing's going to change. The mod will be released, what more is there to ask of?

Throw us an ETA. Then you'll feel more obligated to work on it
Ilcane, here's the thing though. If they finish the mod for regular WC3, then porting the completed mod to SC2 will be really easy anyways (if it's as simple as you put it). So it's probably going to happen anyways.

Jun, I meant no disrespect. I was just curious; perhaps I said it wrong. I think you guys are doing an awesome job (i wouldn't change a thing) and I was not trying to bash you in any way, my apologies if it came out that way.
I was just trying to guess at Blizzards motives on open source. 'tiz all. I wont bring it up again. Again my apologies.

ok, blizzard dont want open source
but what stops you to release gameplay video? (not scene video)
you shouldnt afraid about its quality, because fans will be happy anyway, i dont think video can be worse than leak of previous year
btw i think this leak is main reason, why peoples are still here, because they liked it(if it was no leak, today there will be less fans and maybe nobody wont wait this so much)

We cannot throw another ETA as whenever we do, we always run into team problems and it always ends up delayed and that is why this thread exists.
As for a gameplay video, we had one in process of release but we ran into a problem with a partner site which we had planned on releasing about 3 months ago. We'll see what we can do as we left the video incomplete due to this issue but with the time passed since then, we thought it might be better if we finished up.

Delaying your release is only following in the footsteps of the best (by which I mean Blizzard itself, of course.)
Good luck with everything PR team. Sorry some people feel like it's their God-given right to have immediate access to something they're gonna recieve for FREE. Hope the love from non-selfish fans will keep your moral up.

Blizzard the best?
maybe... at least, back in the day, and in the strategy genre, but I am in no way going to say they're "the best" nowadays.
I play WoW, am addicted, but I don't actually like the game all that much, it's a money sink-hole that sucks the life out of you, and it's about the only thing they've released in the last, what, 4 years?
All I can say is - Starcraft 2 better beat the living shit out of warcraft 3 and, well, Warhammer 40k: DoW/all the other expansions, 'cause that's just about the best RTS I've played.
I like this mod because it is refreshing the old days when Blizzard was cool
All I ever wanted from Blizz was, like, a build of the starcraft game that allowed resolution change, a rerender to 1024x768 would've been good. I just wanted my hydralisks to not look like strange blobs on the screen.
With PR, that's a definite possibility. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm only asking SoundSNC to do it, since he admitted it was his fault. That way when he ends up backing out on it we can roast him and only him, while applauding the rest of the team BLOOD BLOOD!!! WE WANT BLOOD!!!!
Oh hum. My second personality is out of control again.
