 SC2 Graphics
Wtf

Does anyone but me find the new SC2 graphics overly cartoony? I mean seriously. The units look like brightly painted plastic toys. The original starcraft was gritty and dirty. It had that military feel. It was REAL. SC2 screenshots look like a comic book. The same cartoony graphics that permeate WC3 and WoW. Oh snap I think I'm ranting. I'll stop now.

If you go over to the battle.net forums you'll see that a lot of people are complaining about this. I'm sure people are pointing this out on all the other big SC boards out there, reason for which I believe Blizzard will make the graphics resemble the SC1 ones.

However, I don't really find them cartoony as much as I find them bright. And that doesn't bother me at all. I suppose it's all in the eyes of the beholder.

I wouldn't worry though, I'm sure that by the time it hits beta it'll look much grittier.

They're not that cartoony, and if you think about it, the graphics in SC were kind of cartoony in a way as well.

The SC graphics were gritty. Please explain to me how they were cartoony.

i like the new graphics. i think it gives it a much newer look than Wc3 (or if you want to pull the "well Wc3 is old arguement": it also looks better than command and conquer 3)
besides if we want a 3D starcraft with a "gritty" feel, wait for PR, i mean isnt that what were all here for?
P.S i really cant wait till they do more on the zerg for starcraft two, i wonder what the infested command center looks like.

I don't know. If the graphics stay as is, I might reconsider even buying it.

I think they took out the infested marines. No one really EVER uses them in a game, it just takes too long, I believe they were replaced with banelings, but I'm not sure. I remember reading this somewhere.

Whatever you say, I don't know where you got that from. I do know that you guys are all tards for continually posting in here, even AFTER Berry confirmed to me that this thread was OLD.
