Long ago, I was trying to retrieve a picture of a very beautiful elven ranger, I googled "ranger" and one of the results was www.ethermoon.com
The game is called Strifeshadow. It's gameplay appears to be like SC's. It is balanced and needs strategic thinking. Even Executor Zileas plays it:

Looks to be of the same generation of RTS games as SC and I'll probably like it because it's SC's gameplay in a fantasy world. Kind of a blend of WC's fantasy and SC's gameplay.

There we dozens of RTS games that were of the sc era. Some became popular and well known, wc, wc2, dune 2, dune 2000...... others remained completely obscure. This is one of the obscure oens. To be honest you'll find nothing new or exciting about this game. If you're looking for more repetitive gameplay without the fine balance and good opponents go for it. Otherwise it's not worth the time.....

ok i downloaded the demo, played it for about 4 minutes and immediately got bored. it sucks and the worst part is that its exactly like a copy of age of empires 2 with different characters.

If I'd have to choose from so-so games of Starcraft's era, I'd go with Submarine Titans. Or Warlords Battlecry III, but that came out in 2003 (still 2D though).
