Early WIP of the Wildhammer laborer. Body and arm done
This isn't yet officially going to be it, and it's kind've a test for me to get in, but I have nowhere else to put it :P

I tried to make it WC3-ish in how it's shaped and such

More progress, and yeah, I know his backside is weird, so I changed it after looking at the GIF and getting some critique from Dionesiist

Looking like a good start.

Post the final model here before you unwrap it so you can get critique from me.

SUPa- 02-06-2008 02:38 PM

Ok, no problem.

Bleh, I'm having difficulty mirroring things on the mesh to the other side, d'you mind helping me out? xD Just tell me what to do and I'll be fine

Chriz. 02-06-2008 02:46 PM

Delete one half, go to modifiers and select symmetry. Mess around with the x y and z options and the flip box until it mirrors correctly.

Head is kinda small, which makes him not so dwarfportioned, but if you scale some things around, tis bueno.

Chriz. 02-06-2008 04:22 PM

Legs need to be a bit bigger as well as the head but it's looking good.

SUPa- what modeling program do you use?

The face is somewhat funny, and you could try rounding the shoulders, it always help on making a model look nice. The legs are still too thin (I think). If you use 3dsmax try following jigrael's tutorial for modeling a human, it might help a bit with the face. Apart from that, it's nice.

Good to see we got a new member, we old ones are not really active you know ^_^'

SUPa- 02-06-2008 05:55 PM

Yeah, I use 3ds Max 9

Also, the actually capitalization is "SuPa-" WC3C just screwed it up because I made that typo (SUPa-) the first time I logged in xD

Chriz. 02-07-2008 02:13 PM

Okay, I revised your model. Feel free to make new screenshots and post it here if you wish, otherwise start unwrapping and texturing that bad boy.
