Possibly. Im considering that maybe the building could be a sort of spell caster. The orcs use the demon as a source of raw arcane magic, that they, with the help of said prison, channel it for more specific purposes. |

![]() An idea given by cosmicat would be to have a mobile cage unit, that would have a devour like spell. The "devoured" unit could be sent to a sacrifical altar :)

![]() Additional barinstorming during conversations led to the possibility that cbuilding creation woul be performed the following way:
__________________A supporting warlock would have to "soil" the ground, by conjuring a spell on it. Later, a bunch of peons have to gather around and spill their blood to summon the structure from the Nether. Gameplay wise would be translated into the warlock rading a base structure. The base structre can be upgraded "for free" into teh actual buildings, but their buildspeed is insanely slow (maybe like 99999999999 build time), just so it gives the illusion that it is not getting build. Peons would have to be brought, whose HP will be drained to speed up the building construction (handled entirely by triggers, alas). Which means that their true cost would be reflected in HP donated to the building. :P |

![]() Posting to subscribe. Sounds good; I especially like the cage-unit. If the above building-system works for you, then that's certainly interesting (although teaching it to new players would be a nightmare :P)

__________________00:54:15] [Jademus Sreg] Hemophile sounds more perverse than threatening. [00:54:52] maybe a support spellcatser addicted to blood could have the name [00:55:08] like he licks the blood out of everything he can [00:57:30] the hemophile could take an idea from the necron flayers and wear the fresh skins of his fallen opponents [00:57:46] maybe use a mask in the style of leatherface [00:58:07] i just pictured a red orc wearing a dried human face [01:02:15] i think these fucker could be gory and scary as shit [01:02:27] undeads would shiver at their side [01:04:09] i think clawed gauntlets and meathooks will suffice [01:04:52] i really want a custom building akin to the slaughterhouse, only the stuff hanign would still be alive and screaming and moving and crying |

![]() There's a bunch of stuff in the old OH forums about this, they had some similar/cool ideas. I might not be on until later, though, so I'll get to it when I can.

![]() Seriously? Well don't. They didn't have a copyright or monopoly on concepts, man; creative geniuses will always eventually overlap. :P

![]() Great idea too. Will porbably base it on unit's level (creep level, not hero level), assuming it could be retrieved via jass.

![]() Don't forget Dark Conversion (Mal'Ganis spell from campaigns); selects any given unit in a "race" (like Human, Orc, Undead, Creep, Critter, etc) and turns it into a certain specific unit (also a field you can edit).
__________________However, it bugs when used by itself; it removes all the abilities of the summoned unit. So you usually need a trigger to catch the summoning of the "summoned unit" and replace it with the same unit. (or make the "summoned unit" something random like a Footman, and replace). |
