| Starcraft 2 Campaigns – Official Launch |
| Posted by : Tim. ; 07-14-2010 at 01:52 AM |
After a very, very long wait Starcraft II is finally near an actual launch. As such, it is time to begin our next endeavor: Sarcraft 2 Campaigns! A few days ago Vexorian silently rolled out a new forum located at Sc2C.org (Big thanks to Deaod for donating his domain to the cause!) This is an official sister site to Wc3C and is hosted and run by us. The site is still new and fresh, so expect changes and bumps along the road. I just wanted to give the official announcement myself in order to give a big thanks to Vexorian who has been working very hard to bring this new life to our modding community.
As for the fate of Wc3C? We see no reason to close or give up the site at this time. This launch should not worry anyone as to the future of Wc3C, however I do encourage those of you who are active members to give Sc2 modding a shot. I’m sure there is a lot in store for us in the months to come.
Again, I want to thank these gentlemen for all their help and dedication: Vexorian and Deaod!
On to Sc2C.org!

As you may have possibly noticed. The site was down for the last week. It turns out the hard drive crashed and attempts to find recent backups were not succesful. Posts and threads have not been affected. However, an amount of attachments posted within February 2009 and June 2010 have been affected. when browsing the site, chances are that an attachment does not load (if it is a image) or is corrupted (if it is a file). Since it is rather hard to search for all the failed attachments on a case by case basis. I hope that there is some patience in the following weeks while we recover.
If you find a broken link/missing attachment, please restore it (if the attachment is yours) or report it in this thread. Other than attachments it is possible that some .php pages do not work (would give a lot of giberish characters when you try to load them.) I tried restoring the most important files, but I may have missed some, so please report them in that case. We are sorry for all the inconveniences this problem has caused and will cause. |

Patch 1.24e for WCIII: The Frozen Throne has gone live on all realms sometime in the past week. See below for the change log.
Code:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
WARCRAFT III: THE FROZEN THRONE VERSION HISTORY
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Patch 1.24e
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
FIXES
- Fixed an exploit rendering buildings non-interactable ("tower hack").
- Fixed an exploit allowing a player to bypass a summon ability's
cooldown ("summon/cooldown hack").
- Fixed a client crash related to workers failing to build in an
unintended way ("new crash hack").
- Fixed an exploit allowing the Blood Mages's Phoenix to be resurrected
instantly ("phoenix hack").
- Fixed a bug allowing players to select an invalid matchmaking race
resulting in all the player's units and buildings becoming sheep
("sheep hack").
Good ole' exploit fixes. Nothing of serious note for modders, though, but this should make melee players happy. For discussion of the patch, see the thread here. |

| Project News: Power of Corruption Completed! |

POWER OF CORRUPTION
| | | | | | | | | Power of Corruption is an altered melee game where the Naga and Demons fight intense battles with interesting spells in order to gain supremacy over the other. Features many new and fun heroes with a plethora of phenomenal art made just for it! | | | | | | | | |
I wanted to make an announcement to let everyone know that Power of Corruption, better known as PoC, has achieved completed project status! In case you haven't noticed, it now has an icon at the bottom of the main forum page with the rest of the completed projects. Its forum is no longer visible in the Hosted Project section, but is now available by clicking on the image in the completed project section. You can still comment on the map and offer suggestions in its forum. Download the map here and post some feedback while you're at it. I'd like to personally congratulate Moyack and his team on getting it to this state! Well done!

Changelog:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Patch 1.24c
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
FIXES
- Fixed a problem with the "Chapter Six: The Culling" human campaign map
that was preventing it from loading.
- Fixed an issue that allowed JASS functions to return incorrect values
under certain conditions.
- Fixed an issue that caused the TriggerEvaluate native to return
incorrect values under certain conditions.
- Fixed a minor memory leak when using GroupEnum natives.
- Fixed a crash when using the CreateImage native on PPC Mac.
- Updated Mac World Editor to work with recent JASS changes.
Much to the dismay of all the ladder players, it's another small bugfix-only patch. Oh, and it breaks compatibility with old replays as well. Enjoy. |
